About Us
The Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia NT (MIFANT) is a non government organisation providing a service for people with a mental illness and their carers and families. We can help with individual and group support, education, respite, information, referals and advocacy if someone in your family has been diagnosed with a mental illness. We have a social and recreational program for people living witha mental illness.
Remember, you are not alone. One person in five will experience some form of mental illness during their lifetime. For carers, a diagnosis in someone they love can be a confronting and stressful experience. But help is at hand. Check our Well Ways carer education programs for practical guidance and up to date information on caring for someone with a mental illness.
Our support groups are designed to help you increase your coping skills and gain a better understanding of the caring role. Be comforted by sharing your experiences with other carers who really understand your situation and are willing listeners.
Our Fellowship
We are affiliated with the Mental Illness Fellowship Australia (MIFA) a national alliance of not for profit service providers around the country.
