Tony Stevenson [BA Grad Cert Social Science (Interprofessional Leadership)] is the Chief Executive Officer of MIFQ, commencing his position in January 2011.

 

Tony has a background of over 30 years in community services and has been a strong advocate for reform, contributing to many government and non-Government organisation (NGOs) forums, panels and committees.

 

Tony has managed several Federal and State Government programs, was the principal consultant for the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Reform of Children's Services in Australia and a committee Chair of the Australian Health and Community Services Ministerial Council and has lectured in social policy and legislation at Griffith University.

 

In 2002, Tony became CEO of a regional NGO in Queensland, with a strong emphasis on Indigenous partnerships and regional and rural needs. Before his appointment with the Fellowship, Tony was the Queensland State Director of Mission Australia for three years.
