Sense of Self
About Sense of Self
Sense of Self is a seven week educational program for individuals living with a mental illness.
The Sense of Self program is provided on Tuesdays from 9:30am – 12:30pm, at locations at the Northern and Southern ends of the Gold Coast.
How Sense of Self can help you
One of the greatest challenges for individuals once they have been diagnosed with a mental illness, is feeling a loss of identity. The Sense of Self program is an interactive group program that encourages participants to rediscover and focus on themselves, and not solely their diagnosis. Sense of Self provides information to individuals about how to reclaim their lives by focusing on managing labelling, self and other stigma, and the development of self mastery, self acceptance, assertiveness and self esteem.
