Our Vision, Mission and Values

Our Vision

Our vision is that people affected by mental illness live the life of their choice, are accepted and valued in the community, and that families and carers are supported and validated.

Our Mission

We are committed to the rights and choices of people affected by mental illness. Our mission is to develop, deliver and evaluate innovative, evidence-informed and quality recovery-oriented services that respond to the individual needs of people affected by mental illness, and their families and carers. We work in partnership with our members, program participants, other community organisations, clinicians, researchers, government, the corporate sector and the wider community to achieve excellence in service delivery and advocacy.

Our Values

We respect people affected by mental illness, and their families and carers, so that they are valued, and receive equal opportunities and quality services in the community.

We value the wellbeing and quality of life of people affected by mental illness, and their families and carers, and provide programs which enable people to live the life of their choice.

We offer the fellowship of peers which provides strength and empowerment to people affected by mental illness, and their families and carers.

We achieve our commitment to excellence in service delivery through quality evidence-informed and recovery-oriented services that respect the individual and value diversity.

We collaborate with our members, program participants, other community organisations, clinicians, researchers, government, the corporate sector and the wider community to enhance and expand our services.

We embrace opportunity through organisational growth and development to pioneer innovative and quality services that encourage people affected by mental illness, and their families and carers, to live the life of their choice.
